The Warwick unveiled at Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa

A culinary homecoming with MasterChef champion Stu Deeley

Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated opening of its brand-new restaurant, The Warwick. This launch marks not only a new chapter for the acclaimed hotel but also a significant homecoming, as it welcomes back the exceptionally talented Stu Deeley as Executive Head Chef.

Many will recognise Deeley as the triumphant winner of MasterChef: The Professionals 2019, where he captivated audiences with his innovative approach and culinary skill. However, long before his national recognition, Stu’s culinary journey began in the very kitchens of Mallory Court, making this return a truly special full-circle moment for both him and the hotel.

Refined British dining with a modern twist

The Warwick is set to embrace the very best of refined British dining, infused with a fresh, contemporary energy. The restaurant’s concept draws inspiration from Warwick’s rich history and heritage, promising an atmosphere of elegance, character, and a profound sense of place. This ethos will be brought to life through seasonal menus meticulously crafted with care and passion.

Chef Deeley’s culinary philosophy centres on honest, ingredient-led food. He is committed to working closely with Mallory Court’s dedicated gardeners to maximise the potential of the year-round produce in hotel’s kitchen garden, allowing seasonal flavours to take centre stage on every plate.

Dishes are designed to tell a story, whether it’s the delicate combination of Isle of Wight tomatoes with Cornish crab, the intriguing blend of Poussin with Asian spices and a Spanish-inspired Jamón sauce, or a refreshing pea and mint gazpacho with burrata.

A menu rooted in tradition and memory

The Warwick will offer two enticing menu options: a five-course Taste of the Season at £105 and a three-course à la carte for £90. Each dish reflects a deep love of cooking, rooted in cherished traditions, personal memories, and an unwavering desire to serve food that is as memorable as it is delicious. Diners can even anticipate delightful nods to childhood favourites, such as Stu’s nostalgic baked Alaska, re-imagined with a modern twist.

The Warwick aims to be a versatile destination for all types of occasions – from special celebrations and long-overdue catch-ups to relaxed dinners. Guests can look forward to bold British flavours, impeccable attention to detail, and a dining experience that strikes a perfect balance between welcoming warmth and quiet sophistication.

As Stu Deeley himself eloquently puts it, “I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel, I just want to make it turn really, really well.” Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa wholeheartedly agrees and eagerly anticipates welcoming guests to The Warwick this summer, promising a menu full of heart, history, and a true sense of home.
